Supply Chain Analyst - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join their dynamic FMCG operations team in Sunderland . This role is crucial for optimizing the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability of the company's supply chain processes. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on supply chain data to identify areas for improvement, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of supply chain principles and is adept at using data to drive informed decision-making in the fast-paced fast-moving consumer goods environment. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data, including inventory levels, lead times, transportation costs, and demand forecasts.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements across the supply chain.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key supply chain performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and operations teams to resolve issues and implement solutions.
• Support the forecasting process to ensure accurate demand planning and inventory management.
• Monitor supplier performance and work to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Supply Chain Analyst or in a similar analytical role within the FMCG sector .
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and potentially BI software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Understanding of supply chain management principles, logistics, and inventory management.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
