About the Role
Our client, a leading name in the FMCG industry, is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Supply Chain Analyst to join their operations team based remotely, but with key support for their Leeds -based distribution network. This role is critical for optimizing inventory levels, improving forecast accuracy, and enhancing overall supply chain efficiency. You will leverage data analytics to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and recommend strategic improvements that reduce costs and improve service delivery across the company's extensive product range.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and maintain reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, on-time delivery, and forecast accuracy.
- Collaborate with demand planning, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and smooth flow of goods.
- Support the implementation of new supply chain technologies and process improvements.
- Assist in the forecasting process and identify potential risks or disruptions to the supply chain.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making within the supply chain function.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in a supply chain or logistics analytical role, preferably within FMCG .
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and ideally BI software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams across the organization.
