Supply Chain Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join their team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role focuses on optimizing the flow of goods from suppliers to customers, utilizing data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. You will work closely with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to ensure a seamless supply chain. The successful candidate will be adept at data interpretation and possess a keen eye for detail, contributing to strategic decision-making and operational enhancements across the supply chain network.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards on key supply chain metrics (e.g., lead times, inventory levels, transportation costs).
• Forecast demand and manage inventory levels to meet customer needs while minimizing carrying costs.
• Collaborate with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the supply chain operations.
• Support the development and execution of supply chain strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI software).
• Experience in supply chain operations or analysis is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly.
• Familiarity with inventory management principles and logistics processes.
