Supply Chain Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Supply Chain Analyst to join their operations team in Leeds . This role is critical for optimizing inventory levels, improving logistics efficiency, and enhancing overall supply chain performance for their FMCG products. You will leverage data analytics to identify bottlenecks, forecast demand, and recommend cost-saving measures. The ideal candidate is adept at using technology to drive improvements and possesses a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics in a fast-moving consumer goods environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain demand forecasts to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and production teams to streamline operations.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction within the supply chain, such as transportation and warehousing efficiencies.
• Support the implementation of new supply chain technologies and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Research, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in supply chain analysis or a similar role within FMCG.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and preferably a BI tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and forecasting techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to stakeholders.
