Supply Chain Analyst

About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking a highly analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join their operations team based in Birmingham . This role is crucial for optimizing our client's supply chain efficiency, ensuring timely delivery of products, and managing inventory effectively. You will leverage data analysis to identify trends, pinpoint areas for improvement, and develop strategies that enhance operational performance and reduce costs across the supply chain network. This hybrid position offers the flexibility to blend in-office collaboration with remote work, fostering an efficient and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, lead times, and transportation costs.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and manufacturing teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
• Optimize logistics and transportation routes to improve delivery times and reduce shipping expenses.
• Support the implementation of new supply chain technologies and processes.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for management on supply chain performance and recommendations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Supply Chain Analyst or in a similar analytical role, preferably within the FMCG industry .
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and business intelligence software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent understanding of supply chain management principles, logistics, and inventory control.
• Ability to interpret complex data sets and present findings clearly and concisely.
• Experience with supply chain planning software is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
