Supply Chain Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a data-driven and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join their hybrid team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is essential for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire supply chain network. You will be responsible for analyzing data, identifying trends, and developing strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments in a hybrid working setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and service levels.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key supply chain metrics and performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
• Identify and implement process improvements across the supply chain to enhance overall performance and reduce lead times.
• Evaluate supplier performance and work with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Support the development and implementation of new supply chain technologies and strategies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supply chain, logistics, or data analysis role.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and ideally experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and logistics operations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, balancing remote and office-based tasks.
