About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join their team in Cardiff . This role is crucial for enhancing the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for analysing complex data sets, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to optimise inventory levels, transportation routes, and supplier performance. The successful candidate will play a key part in strategic decision-making, driving improvements and ensuring the smooth flow of goods from origin to destination. Working closely with procurement, logistics, and operations teams, you will contribute directly to the company's bottom line and operational excellence in a non-remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, interpret, and analyse large volumes of supply chain data from various sources.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, lead times, and transportation costs.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements within the supply chain.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to forecast demand and optimise inventory levels.
- Evaluate supplier performance and recommend strategies for improvement.
- Support the implementation of new supply chain technologies and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience as a Supply Chain Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
- Understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment in our Cardiff office.
