Supply Chain Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join their team in Sunderland . In this hybrid role, you will play a critical part in optimizing the company's supply chain operations within the FMCG sector. You will be responsible for analyzing data, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending solutions to improve logistics, inventory management, and overall supply chain performance. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement in logistics and inventory management.
• Develop and maintain reports on key supply chain metrics, such as lead times, costs, and stock levels.
• Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, operations, sales) to forecast demand and optimize inventory planning.
• Support the implementation of new supply chain processes and technologies to enhance efficiency and visibility.
• Monitor supplier performance and work to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives by identifying opportunities for optimization within the supply chain network.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in supply chain analysis or a related role, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced), SQL, and ideally experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, balancing independent work with team collaboration.
