Supply Chain Manager - FMCG Operations

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and operational Supply Chain Manager to optimize their distribution and logistics networks in Leeds . This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of goods from production to consumers within the demanding FMCG environment. You will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and a commitment to operational excellence in a fast-paced industry. This hybrid role offers a blend of on-site strategic planning and operational oversight with the flexibility of remote work days.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation for FMCG products.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics costs, improve delivery times, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and other supply chain partners.
• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards within the supply chain operations.
• Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management , preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Proven experience in managing warehousing, transportation, and inventory control.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
