Supply Chain Manager - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and strategic Supply Chain Manager to oversee operations in Sunderland . This role is critical to ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of goods within the FMCG sector, from procurement to final delivery. You will be responsible for optimizing the supply chain, managing inventory, and building strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners to meet market demand and maintain product quality and availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics for FMCG products.
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Negotiate with suppliers and service providers to secure favorable terms and ensure reliable delivery of materials and finished goods.
• Implement and maintain robust inventory control systems to minimize stockouts and reduce waste.
• Lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Supply Chain Manager or in a similar senior supply chain role, ideally within the FMCG industry .
• Strong understanding of inventory management, logistics, and procurement best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex supply chain data and implement data-driven solutions.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and project management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
