• Role: Supply Chain Manager
• Location: Cheltenham, UK
• Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 DOE
• Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance

We’re supporting an organisation delivering complex programmes within the Defence and technology sector and are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to support procurement, supplier management and commercial delivery.

You’ll work across sourcing, supplier performance, contracts and supply chain risk, helping ensure programmes have the people, services and materials they need to deliver successfully.

Responsibilities

• Manage supply chain activity across complex programmes
• Identify and manage suppliers, subcontractors and procurement requirements
• Lead supplier negotiations and tendering activity
• Monitor supplier performance, costs, quality and delivery
• Build strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders
• Identify and manage supply chain risks and potential disruptions
• Support demand planning, purchasing and inventory management
• Contribute to bids, proposals and commercial activities Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency and value

Essential Skills

• Proven experience within supply chain, procurement or commercial management
• Experience working with NEC3 or NEC4 contracts
• Background in construction procurement
• Experience managing and negotiating subcontracts
• Good understanding of contract and subcontract law
• Strong supplier and stakeholder management skills
• Experience supporting bids and proposals
• Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
• Active SC clearance

Desirable Skills

• Defence or Government experience
• Engineering or complex project environments
• Experience managing strategic suppliers across large programmes
• Degree or equivalent relevant experience
