About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize operations within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector in Aberdeen . You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient flow of goods from production to end-users, managing logistics, inventory, and supplier relationships. This hybrid role offers a blend of on-site strategic planning and operational oversight, coupled with the flexibility to work remotely, making it ideal for a professional who values both strategic input and operational efficiency. You will lead a dedicated team, driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall supply chain performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies to meet business objectives and demand forecasts.
- Manage inventory levels, optimize warehousing, and ensure timely delivery of products across the distribution network.
- Negotiate with suppliers and service providers to secure favorable terms and maintain strong relationships.
- Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to address deviations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards for logistics and transportation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the FMCG industry .
- Proven track record in optimizing logistics, inventory management, and supplier negotiations .
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in supply chain software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with hybrid work models and managing teams across different work environments.
