About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and proactive Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize all aspects of their supply chain operations within the fast-paced FMCG industry. This critical role, based at our operational hub in Cardiff , Wales, will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of goods from procurement to delivery, managing inventory levels, and reducing operational costs. You will lead a dedicated team focused on logistics, warehousing, and demand planning, ensuring we meet customer needs effectively and sustainably. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive supply chain strategies for the FMCG sector, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and service level improvements.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels across all locations to meet demand while minimizing holding costs.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and other third-party partners to ensure reliable and cost-effective service delivery.
- Implement and utilize advanced supply chain planning and forecasting tools to anticipate demand and optimize resource allocation.
- Lead and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence in Cardiff .
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Proven experience in inventory management, demand planning, logistics, and warehouse operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
