Supply Chain Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and strategic Supply Chain Manager to oversee operations in Manchester . This role is integral to ensuring the efficient flow of goods from production to consumers within the fast-paced FMCG sector. You will be responsible for managing inventory, optimizing logistics, and collaborating with suppliers to maintain seamless operations. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the supply chain , including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials.
• Manage inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing holding costs and stockouts.
• Implement and utilize supply chain technologies and systems to improve visibility and forecasting accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards within the supply chain operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the FMCG industry .
• Proven experience in managing logistics, warehousing, and inventory control.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
