Supply Chain Operations Lead

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Supply Chain Operations Lead to oversee their complex FMCG supply chain operations based in Reading . This leadership role is critical for ensuring the seamless flow of goods from procurement to final delivery, managing logistics, warehousing, and inventory. You will lead a team of supply chain professionals, driving efficiency, cost optimization, and service excellence across all operational aspects. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day supply chain operations, including warehousing, inventory management, and transportation logistics.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery performance.
• Oversee inventory levels, implement robust control measures, and ensure accuracy across the network.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and other supply chain partners, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and enhance reliability in the FMCG sector .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in supply chain operations management, with a strong focus on the FMCG industry .
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex logistics networks and optimizing operational efficiency.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS).
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
