Supply Chain Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Supply Chain Planner to join their operations team in Belfast . This critical role will focus on ensuring the efficient and timely flow of goods within our extensive FMCG supply chain, from procurement to final delivery. You will be responsible for forecasting demand, managing inventory levels, and coordinating with suppliers and logistics partners to optimize operational performance and meet customer needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented planner to contribute to the smooth running of a fast-paced distribution network.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, sales input, and market intelligence.
• Plan and manage inventory levels across multiple distribution points to ensure product availability and minimize carrying costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
• Liaise with logistics providers to schedule and optimize transportation routes and delivery times.
• Monitor supply chain performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, or inventory management, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Proficiency in using supply chain planning software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• A relevant degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
