A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Planner to join a well-established and growing organisation within the foodservice sector. This is a varied role where you will play an important part in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods across the business, maintaining strong stock availability while controlling costs and delivering excellent customer service. What you'll be doing Working as part of the planning team, your responsibilities will include: Managing inventory and end-to-end supply planning across a designated product range Ensuring the right level of stock is available at the right place and time, while maximising product date life Analysing historical data and market trends to forecast future demand Maintaining optimal inventory levels while minimising stock holding costs Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders Negotiating supply chain agreements and monitoring supplier performance and service levels Identifying problem or obsolete stock and working with Sales and Commercial teams to find effective solutions Working with Account Managers on product forecasting for key customers Overseeing transportation and storage of goods and coordinating stock movements between depots to maximise availability and sales Identifying and mitigating potential supply chain disruptions, including stock shortages and transportation delays Making commercially effective buying decisions, identifying cost-saving opportunities and supporting margin targets Managing forecasting requirements, including promotional buy-ins and seasonal uplifts Maintaining accurate xwwtmva supply chain data and working in line with regulatory and data security requirements Supporting environmental and sustainability goals within day-to-day activities Promoting high standards of food safety, product quality and integrity Following Health & Safety procedures and contributing to a safe working environment What we're looking for We are looking for an organised and solutions-focused individual with strong analytical skills.
