About the Role

Our client is seeking an analytical and forward-thinking Supply Chain Planner to join their growing team in Edinburgh . This role is responsible for forecasting demand, managing inventory levels, and optimizing the flow of goods from suppliers to customers. You will work closely with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure supply chain efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, and the ability to develop strategic plans that enhance overall performance. This is a key role in ensuring the seamless operation of our client's supply chain network.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales input.
• Plan and manage inventory levels across multiple locations to meet service level targets while minimizing holding costs.
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely and efficient sourcing of materials and products.
• Optimize logistics and transportation plans to reduce lead times and shipping expenses.
• Monitor supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
• Liaise with production, sales, and distribution teams to ensure alignment on planning activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, or inventory management.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in demand planning software and ERP systems .
• Excellent understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
