Job Description
Supply Planner Location: Farnborough Salary: £38,000-£45,000 Benefits Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (entirely office based)
Account Management
Act as the primary point of contact for key customer accounts. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of service and communication. Manage customer expectations Coordinate with internal departments to resolve customer queries and supply chain issues efficiently. Monitor account performance and identify opportunities for process improvements and service enhancements.
Demand Planning & Forecasting
Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and customer insights. Analyse forecast accuracy and implement continuous improvements to planning processes. Monitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment strategies to optimise stock availability.
Supply Chain
Manage purchase orders from creation through to fulfilment. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely production and shipment schedules. Liaise regularly with freight forwarders and logistics providers regarding imports, exports, and deliveries. Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure service level agreements are achieved.
Reporting & Analysis
Produce and maintain accurate supply chain, forecasting, and inventory reports. Utilise Excel to analyse data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Support business planning and operational review meetings through reporting and KPI analysis.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an Account Management, Demand Planning, Supply Chain Coordinator, Supply Planner, or Customer Supply Chain role .
- Experience managing Purchase Orders (POs) within a supply chain environment.
- Strong experience working with 3PL providers and logistics partners.
- Experience liaising with freight forwarders and managing international shipments.
- Proven forecasting and demand planning experience.
- Excel skills
Desirable Experience
- Aerospace, Aviation, Airline, or MRO industry experience.
- Experience working within global supply chains.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
- Understanding of import/export procedures and customs documentation.
