Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Agency Support Worker to join our team in Abergavenny, providing high-quality support to individuals with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care and household tasks, using a person-centred approach to ensure their needs are met
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, helping to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation
- Help clients maintain their independence and well-being by supporting them in community activities and appointments
- Safely assist clients with mobility using Moving & Handling techniques, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times
- Support individuals who may display challenging behaviour, responding calmly and effectively to ensure a safe and positive environment
- Support clients in achieving their goals and aspirations, promoting a sense of purpose and fulfilment
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 6 months UK-based experience as a Support Worker
- Experience or confidence in working with challenging behaviour
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to care, with a strong desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives
- Reliable and flexible, with a willingness to work varied shifts and locations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, using initiative and judgment to respond to client needs
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
