Shift Patterns
37.5 hours/week: Days: 7:45 am - 8:15 pm. Flexibility is required.

Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, and you should be friendly, patient and positive in approach to work. You should also be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support.
You will provide support with day to day activities, while encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.
Our teams provide care and support for individuals with different conditions at Priory sites all across the UK.

Responsibilities
- Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
- Assist with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
- Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
- Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well‑being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
- Encourage participation in social and recreational activities
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature
- Empathy, understanding and patience
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
- Ability to understand and follow policies and procedure
- The ability to anticipate and respond to challenges
- Competent in verbal and written English
- A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential
- Right to work in the UK
Additional Information
Located near the village of Pontypool, Mountain View House offers residential support for seven people who are autistic. The house is in a rural location, next to a nature reserve, with amazing mountain views. Our team is dedicated to supporting our residents to live as independently as possible, and take part in the things that make them feel fulfilled.
Disclosure
All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland, and the cost of this will be covered by Priory.
