Key Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Support clients in managing daily living activities, such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
- Encourage and facilitate participation in social, recreational, and educational activities.
- Implement and follow individualized support plans, ensuring client needs are met effectively.
- Promote independence and self-advocacy among the individuals you support.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided and client progress.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a support worker or caregiving role is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and person-centered care.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and some sleep-in duties.
- A proactive approach to supporting individuals and promoting their independence.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and willing to undergo necessary checks.
