The Old Rectory, Parkfield Road, Stourbridge, West, DY8 1HB

Shifts: 33.25 hours per week (shift-based rota over 7 days including weekends and public holidays)

Support Worker

As a Support Worker with Rushcliffe Care Group, you will be part of the team responsible for delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care. Your role will have a direct impact on the quality of life and outcomes for the service users you support.

The Role

Responsibilities

As a Support Worker at Rushcliffe Care Group, your primary responsibility will be to provide physical, social, and psychological care to our service users. You will work closely with healthcare team leaders to ensure the well-being and dignity of individuals we support. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Promoting the dignity and independence of individuals we support, considering their unique needs and background.
• Assisting with daily activities such as personal care, meal times, and social interactions, while encouraging freedom of choice.
• Participating in social activities, outings, and hobbies, helping to create a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for those in our care.
• Providing emotional and psychological support through active listening, conversation, and 1-to-1 activities.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided and reporting any changes in a service user’s physical or emotional state.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and clean environment for both service users and staff.
• Undertaking training and development opportunities, including completing the Care Certificate within the probationary period.

About The Service

Highbury House is a converted rectory in Stourbridge, registered for up to 20 adults with a range of mental health illnesses and/or learning disabilities. The service provides nursing care, mental health support and learning disability support, with person-centred care plans, individualised support and a strong focus on independence, dignity and wellbeing.

The service has an established team and offers a supportive environment where nursing staff work closely with care staff, families, visiting professionals, GPs, pharmacists and other healthcare partners to support safe and effective outcomes for service users.
