Support Worker - Learning Disabilities & Autism

About the Role

Our client is seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to provide specialised care for individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism in Sheffield . Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals, assisting with personal care, daily living tasks, and medication management as required.
• Promote independence, choice, and inclusion in all aspects of service users' lives.
• Support individuals to engage in meaningful activities, hobbies, and community outings.
• Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and other professionals involved in their care.
• Implement individual support plans, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided and observations.

Requirements

• Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism is highly desirable.
• A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of autism spectrum conditions and person-centred support principles.
• Willingness to work flexibly, including shifts and some weekends.
