About the Role

Our client is seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers specializing in care for individuals with learning disabilities in Liverpool . You will provide essential daily support, encouraging participation in community life and personal activities. Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, respecting their dignity and privacy.
• Assist with daily living tasks, including domestic chores, meal preparation, and managing finances.
• Support individuals in accessing community facilities, engaging in social activities, and pursuing personal interests.
• Encourage and facilitate independence and choice in all aspects of daily life.
• Monitor and report on the well-being and progress of individuals, escalating concerns as needed.
• Work collaboratively with families, advocates, and other professionals to ensure holistic support.

Requirements

• Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities is highly desirable.
• A caring, patient, and empathetic attitude with a genuine desire to make a difference.
• Good communication and listening skills, able to connect with individuals with varying communication needs.
• Understanding of safeguarding principles and person-centered approaches.
• Willingness to undertake training, including mandatory care certifications.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, evenings, and weekends, within the Liverpool area.
