About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join their team, specializing in supporting individuals with learning disabilities in Liverpool . You will assist with daily living activities, encourage social participation, and support personal development, working closely with clients to understand and meet their individual needs. Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation, with dignity and respect.
• Support clients in engaging in community activities, hobbies, and social events to promote independence and inclusion.
• Help clients manage their finances, appointments, and daily routines effectively.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement, fostering a positive and trusting relationship.
• Monitor client well-being, recognizing and reporting any changes or concerns to the senior care team promptly.
• Support clients in developing life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and managing their own living spaces.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care or support role, preferably supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.
• Understanding of safeguarding principles and person-centered care practices.
• Ability to work flexibly, including shifts, weekends, and evenings as required.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training and development opportunities.
