Support Worker - Learning Disabilities

Key Responsibilities

• Assist service users with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation, with dignity and respect.
• Support individuals in engaging with community activities, hobbies, and social opportunities to enhance their quality of life.
• Promote independence and life skills development through patient encouragement and practical assistance.
• Observe and report any changes in a service user's condition or behavior to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional.
• Ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for all service users, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive support network.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a support worker or caregiving role is highly desirable, particularly with individuals with learning disabilities .

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
