Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support to individuals with learning disabilities, enabling them to achieve personal goals and live fulfilling lives.
- Assist with personal care, medication management, household tasks, and community integration activities.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, families, and other professionals involved in their care.
- Implement and review individual support plans, ensuring they are person-centred and effective.
- Document all care provided, observations, and any incidents accurately and promptly.
Requirements
- Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities is preferred but not essential; a strong willingness to learn is key.
- Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles.
- A patient, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and self-motivation.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends as required by the service.
