Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging in meaningful activities with residents.
- Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes to the care team.
- Support residents in maintaining their independence and participating in social activities.
- Ensure the care environment is clean, safe, and comfortable for all residents.
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care setting, preferably residential care.
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow care plans meticulously.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
