Job Description
A children's home based in Exeter is seeking a permanent Support Worker to help support our young people.
A residential children's home provides a safe, nurturing, and enjoyable environment for some of the country's most vulnerable young people. We seek energetic, passionate, and resilient individuals who want to extend or start their career in children's homes.
The role is permanent, full‑time with a base pay of £26,824 plus £4,000 in annual shift compensation for sleeping in shifts. Working hours include early, late, weekend, and sleep‑in shifts.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include: acting as a positive role model; supporting young people in daily life; managing emotions and stressors; and positively influencing their outlook.
Qualifications
- Work experience with children or young people (youth work, social care, young offenders, SEN education)
- Voluntary experience with children and young people
- Relevant degree (psychology, counseling, therapy, sociology)
