Supporter Engagement Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Supporter Engagement Officer to join their team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for nurturing and growing our client's base of supporters, ensuring they feel valued, informed, and inspired by the work being done. You will be at the forefront of communication, managing various channels to engage individuals, groups, and corporate partners. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to enhance supporter engagement across multiple communication platforms, including email, social media, and direct mail.
• Manage regular communication with existing supporters, providing updates on projects, impact stories, and fundraising appeals.
• Organise and coordinate supporter events, webinars, and engagement activities, both online and in-person.
• Respond to supporter enquiries in a timely and professional manner, providing excellent customer service.
• Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new supporters, providing clear information about how they can get involved.
• Segment supporter data for targeted communications and analyse engagement metrics to inform future strategies.

Requirements

• Experience in marketing, communications, or a similar role, preferably within the non-profit sector.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting engaging content.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital communication tools.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment.
