About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative Sustainability Architect to join their practice in Plymouth . This role is dedicated to integrating sustainable design principles and practices into all aspects of architectural projects, ensuring environmental responsibility and energy efficiency. You will work across a variety of building types, advising on material selection, energy performance, and environmental impact assessments. This is an exciting opportunity for an architect passionate about eco-friendly design to make a tangible difference in the built environment of Devon and contribute to a more sustainable future.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on and implement sustainable design strategies for all architectural projects.
- Conduct energy modelling and environmental performance analysis using relevant software.
- Specify sustainable materials and low-carbon construction techniques.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and green building certifications (e.g., BREEAM, LEED).
- Collaborate with engineering teams and clients to achieve high levels of environmental performance.
- Develop case studies and promote sustainable design best practices within the practice and to clients.
Requirements
- Professional qualification in Architecture (RIBA or equivalent).
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge in sustainable architectural design .
- Familiarity with environmental assessment tools and green building standards.
- Proficiency in architectural design software, including Revit .
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex environmental concepts effectively.
