Sustainability Consultant - Energy Sector

About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and driven Sustainability Consultant to advise businesses in the energy sector on strategies to improve their environmental performance and achieve their sustainability goals. Based in Bristol , you will conduct assessments, develop action plans, and support clients in implementing solutions related to carbon reduction, energy efficiency, and corporate social responsibility. This role requires a deep understanding of sustainability principles and regulations within the energy industry. You will work with a diverse range of clients, helping them navigate complex environmental challenges and contribute to a more sustainable future, working in a consultancy environment that fosters innovation and impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct sustainability assessments and energy audits for clients in the energy industry.
• Develop tailored sustainability strategies and action plans, including carbon management and net-zero roadmaps.
• Advise clients on regulatory compliance and reporting requirements (e.g., ESG reporting).
• Support the implementation of sustainability initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.
• Research emerging trends and best practices in corporate sustainability and renewable energy.
• Prepare compelling proposals and reports for clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in sustainability consulting or a similar role within the energy sector .
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, carbon accounting, and sustainability frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Experience with energy efficiency technologies and renewable energy solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple client projects and deadlines effectively.
