Senior Commissioning Engineer - Dorchester

An opportunity has arisen for a Systems Integration Commissioning Lead within our Environment Business to work on the AMP8 Wessex Water team in Dorchester.

Reporting to the Galliford Try Regional Commissioning Manager, you will be the SCADA, Telemetry & System Integration Communications Commissioning Lead across the Wessex Water region portfolio including where identified PLC replacement of the assigned project (s)

What you will be doing:

• Ensuring a full understanding of the SCADA, Telemetry & System Integration / Communications requirements of the project, including a full understanding of the commissioning requirements and interfaces with existing equipment and processes in line with Wessex Water standards & requirements
• Development of the Project SCADA, Telemetry & System Integration commissioning plan, Commissioning Strategy and associated documentation and is completed in a timely manner and meets with the project scope and deliverables, interfaces and constraints are clearly identified. To assist with the development of the outline commissioning strategy at outline design stage and developing that philosophy into detailed commissioning plan at completion of design leading into project award. Regular monitoring in the delivery of the Project SCADA, Telemetry & System Integration commissioning documentation in line with the project delivery requirements.
• Working with the Wessex Water Operational Technology Team to ensure full integration including technical compliance within the existing assets
• Ensure all MEICA installation work associated with SCADA, Telemetry & System Integration / Communications meets the technical requirements of the project, including clients specifications / Asset Standards and where applicable the Water Industry Mechanical and Electrical Standards (WIMES)
• Ensure that all the latest Galliford Try MEICA & Commissioning processes and procedures are adhered to
• Development of the SCADA, Telemetry & System Integration training plan in conjunction with the project training requirements
• Ensure coordination of MEICA & Commissioning SCADA, Telemetry & System Integration / Communications activities with Galliford Try / Subcontract resources to ensure that the project specific requirements and programme are met
• Ensure regular SCADA, Telemetry & System Integration / Communications updates are included within the main contract programme in collaboration with the planner, and that regular commissioning meetings are held at the necessary intervals
• Ensure Electrical & Mechanical safety rules are applied and adhered to
• Support the project team in the witness testing of FAT’s associated with SCADA, Telemetry & System Integration / Communications
• Responsible for all necessary dry testing of works incl Supply chain packages associated with SCADA, Telemetry & System Integration / Communications
• Carry out Wet Commissioning with the assistance of key delivery partners / supply chain
• Support the SAT works associated with SCADA, Telemetry & System Integration / Communications
• Ensuring all paperwork is up to date, and operation and maintenance information from subcontractors is passed onto the document control team.
• Assist with the SCADA, Telemetry & System Integration / Communications snags and outstanding works are cleared whilst the relevant contractors are on site
• Ensure works are completed in a safe manner, and all Galliford Try process and procedures are adhered to

About you:

• Have minimum of 5-years’ experience in the water industry.
• Be able to demonstrate the ability in site management and delivery of SCADA, Telemetry & System Integration / Communications including PLC replacement, manage the interface with the Client on a regular basis including the prompt resolution of issues affecting project progress
• Be able to demonstrate SCADA, Telemetry & System Integration / Communications delivery though to successful project Takeover
• Be able to demonstrate effectiveness and approach in the delivery of SCADA, Telemetry & System Integration / Communications to meet project timeline and Takeover
• Have a good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office applications to facilitate the creation and presentation of reports as required.
• Be able to demonstrate an understanding of health, safety and environmental approaches
• An understanding of water industry processesincluding mechanical and electrical equipment
• Be able to demonstrate a structured approach to the commissioning SCADA, Telemetry & System Integration / Communications.

Essential Qualifications and Certifications:

• CSCS or ECS card in an appropriate discipline
• Working knowledge / experience of Wonderware system platform SCADA, Windows server 2012, RsLogix, Studio 5000, VMware, Simatic
  CISCO
• Full UK driving license
• EUSR National Water Hygiene Card
• SMSTS (preferred) with SSSTS (minimum)
