About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Tax Accountant to join their finance team in Plymouth . This role is crucial for ensuring the company's compliance with all UK tax regulations and optimizing tax strategies. You will be responsible for preparing and submitting tax returns, managing tax liabilities, and providing expert advice on tax matters. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tax law and a meticulous approach to financial compliance within a busy, collaborative office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate corporation tax returns and other tax filings.
- Manage all aspects of VAT, PAYE, and other tax compliance requirements.
- Conduct tax research and provide advice on tax implications of business decisions.
- Identify opportunities for tax planning and efficiency.
- Liaise with HMRC and external tax advisors.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation changes.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a specialization in tax, or qualified Tax Advisor (CTA).
- Proven experience in a tax accounting or tax advisory role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK tax legislation.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
