Tax Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Tax Accountant to join their expanding team, offering a fully remote working experience based in or around Edinburgh . This role is critical for managing the company's tax compliance, planning, and advisory functions across various jurisdictions. You will ensure that all tax obligations are met accurately and efficiently, while also identifying opportunities for tax optimization. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file all corporate tax returns, including Corporation Tax , VAT, and PAYE.
• Provide proactive tax planning advice to minimize tax liabilities and optimize the company’s tax position.
• Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and advise on their implications for the business.
• Manage HMRC relationships and respond to tax authority inquiries.
• Conduct tax reviews and audits to ensure compliance and identify potential risks.
• Support the finance team with tax-related queries and ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

• Qualified Tax Advisor (CTA) or a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a strong tax specialisation.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate tax, encompassing compliance and planning.
• In-depth understanding of UK tax legislation and international tax principles.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage a diverse workload effectively in a remote setting.
• Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
