About the Role
Our client is looking for a knowledgeable Tax Accountant to join their expanding finance department in Reading . This role is pivotal in managing the company's tax compliance and planning strategies across various jurisdictions. You will work in a hybrid capacity, combining office presence with remote flexibility, allowing for efficient collaboration and focused work. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company meets all its tax obligations while optimising tax efficiency, contributing significantly to the organisation's financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file all corporate tax returns, including corporation tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes.
- Provide expert advice on tax implications of business decisions, investments, and transactions.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and advise on their impact on the company.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimise tax liabilities legally and efficiently.
- Liaise with HMRC and other tax authorities, managing any enquiries or investigations.
- Support the finance team with tax-related aspects of financial reporting and audits.
Requirements
- Qualified CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification with a specialisation in tax.
- Significant experience in corporate tax compliance and planning.
- In-depth knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with tax accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing stakeholder relationships in a hybrid environment.
