About the Role
Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join their thriving finance department in Reading . This role is essential for ensuring the company's compliance with all aspects of UK tax law and for providing strategic tax advice. You will be responsible for managing tax affairs, preparing tax computations, and supporting the finance team with tax-related queries. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate corporation tax returns and other tax filings.
- Provide advice on various tax matters, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax.
- Assist in tax planning initiatives to minimise tax liabilities and maximise efficiency.
- Liaise with HMRC and external tax advisors as needed.
- Conduct tax research and stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation.
- Support the finance team with tax implications of business decisions.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) or Tax Advisor (CTA) with a specialisation in tax.
- Proven experience in a corporate tax role within the UK .
- Strong understanding of corporation tax, VAT, and other relevant tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
