Tax Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for an accomplished Tax Manager to lead their tax compliance and advisory services in Belfast . This senior role will be responsible for managing all aspects of corporate taxation, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and providing strategic tax planning advice to the business. You will work closely with senior leadership and external advisors to optimise tax strategies and mitigate tax risks. This is a crucial position for an experienced tax professional to drive best practices and contribute significantly to the company's financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation and filing of all corporate tax returns, ensuring timely compliance with HMRC regulations.
• Provide expert advice on tax implications of business decisions, transactions, and investments.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimise tax liabilities and maximise after-tax returns.
• Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business.
• Liaise with external tax advisors and HMRC on tax matters.
• Oversee tax risk management and ensure robust internal controls are in place for tax compliance.

Requirements

• Qualified Tax Advisor (CTA) or Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA) with a specialisation in taxation.
• Significant experience in corporate tax, with a strong understanding of UK tax law.
• Proven experience in tax planning, compliance, and advisory roles.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex tax legislation.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience with tax software and financial reporting systems.
