About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Tax Manager to lead their tax compliance and advisory functions. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of UK tax legislation, capable of managing both corporate and indirect taxes. While the role offers a hybrid working model, blending remote flexibility with essential in-office collaboration, the successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring tax efficiency and compliance across the organization. You will work closely with the finance and legal teams to mitigate tax risks and capitalize on opportunities, contributing significantly to the company's financial strategy and overall performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and submission of all corporate tax returns and related filings accurately and on time.
- Provide expert advice on the tax implications of business decisions, including mergers, acquisitions, and new ventures.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position within legal frameworks.
- Manage relationships with tax authorities and external tax advisors, ensuring effective communication and resolution of queries.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and ensure the company's policies and practices remain compliant.
Requirements
- A qualified tax professional (CTA, ACA, ACCA with tax specialism) with substantial experience.
- Proven expertise in UK corporate tax, VAT, and other relevant tax areas.
- Experience in managing tax compliance for a multi-national or significant UK-based entity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effective in both remote and face-to-face interactions, facilitating collaboration across different teams.
