The Role

As a Teacher of Economics, you will:

• Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Economics lessons at Key Stage 5.
• Develop students' understanding of key economic concepts and their application in today's global economy.
• Encourage analytical thinking, independent research and informed debate.
• Use effective assessment strategies to monitor progress and maximise student achievement.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations and academic excellence.
• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities within the department.
• Support students in achieving outstanding examination outcomes.
• Play an active role in the wider life of the school community.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards achieving QTS.
• A degree in Economics or a closely related discipline.
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Economics.
• The ability to inspire, challenge and motivate learners of all abilities.
• High expectations for achievement, behaviour and attendance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and student wellbeing.
• A desire to contribute positively to a successful and ambitious department.
