The role

A full-time Teacher of Humanities with specialism in History is required for November 2026 on a maternity cover appointment, paid at MPR or UPR. The successful candidate will teach History to GCSE level, with the opportunity of A level teaching. The ability to teach another Humanities subject is desirable.

Applications are warmly welcomed from ECTs seeking their first appointment as well as more experienced practitioners.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality History lessons to GCSE level, with potential A level teaching.
• Teach an additional Humanities subject where required.

• Strong subject knowledge in History.
• The ability to teach another Humanities subject is desirable.

• Enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for the successful applicant.
