Job title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant Level 2

Location: Pytchley CE Primary School

Start date: September/October 2026

Salary: £25,614 FTE (equivalent £18,149.64)

Hours: 31.25 hours per week, 5 days per week; 38 weeks per year; Fixed-Term until 31/08/2027 linked to funding.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide learning and pastoral care for children with individual needs.
• Support the classroom teacher to create an appropriate learning environment.
• Assist in planning and delivering lessons, monitoring progress and supporting assessment.
• Collaborate with staff to promote wellbeing and the Christian ethos of the school.

• Enthusiastic, approachable, friendly and positive about their role in education.
• Committed to supporting, motivating, and challenging the learning of children of all abilities.
• Able to work creatively with the teacher to establish an appropriate learning environment, meeting the needs of pupils and curriculum.

• Passionate about children's learning and well‑being.
• Keen to support the ethos of a Church school.
• Comprehends the importance of Child Protection and is committed to safeguarding children's welfare.
• Eligible for an enhanced DBS clearance.
