The Role

• Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons and classroom activities
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning
• Deliver targeted interventions to support pupil progress
• Assist pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development
• Adapt support to meet different learning needs, including SEND
• Help prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised learning environment
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, independence, and resilience
• Monitor pupil engagement and provide feedback to the class teacher
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents
• Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom

About You

• Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Previous experience working within a primary school or similar educational setting
• A caring, patient, and encouraging approach to supporting children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work effectively as part of a wider school team
• Confident supporting pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs
• Reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
