We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant Level 4 (Safeguarding and Wellbeing) to join our fantastic team at MEA Central This is apermanent role working 35 hours per week during term time only plus 5 INSET days, to start as soon as pre-employment checks are complete.
The pro-rata salary is £25,823 and the full-time equivalent is £30,023 (Grade 5). About the Role MEA Central is seeking a dedicated and highly skilledTeaching Assistant Level 4 (Safeguarding and Wellbeing)to join our supportive and ambitious team.
This is a vital role focused on promoting pupil wellbeing, safeguarding, and positive engagement, working closely with students who require additional emotional, behavioural, or pastoral support.
The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn, by contributing to safeguarding practice and delivering targeted wellbeing interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as asafeguarding-focused supportfor pupils, working under the direction of senior staff and the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
- Support pupils’emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement in learning
- Deliver and supporttargeted interventionsto meet individual pupil needs
- Build trusted, professional relationships with pupils while maintaining appropriate boundaries
- Monitor and report concerns relating to safeguarding, welfare, or attendance in line with school policies
- Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, families, and external agencies
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews, reports, and meetings where required
