The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant Level 4 (TA4) to join the school from September. This is a rewarding pastoral role, ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with their behaviour, wellbeing, and personal development.

Responsibilities

• Providing pastoral support to pupils, helping them manage their behaviour and overcome barriers to learning.
• Building positive and trusting relationships with students.
• Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
• Providing classroom cover, mainly during afternoon sessions.
• Working closely with teaching staff and the wider pastoral team to support individual pupil needs.
• Promoting a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification or has significant relevant experience.
• Has previous experience working within a school or education setting.
• Is confident supporting pupils with challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies.
• Has a calm, patient, and consistent approach.
• Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
• Works well independently and as part of a wider team.
