Teaching Assistant - Winchester
Prospero Teaching is recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils in schools across the Winchester area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys helping young people develop confidence, engage with learning, and achieve their full potential.
Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will provide classroom support and assist pupils who may benefit from additional guidance during lessons. Support may be delivered on a 1:1 basis or through small‑group interventions, depending on the needs of the school.
This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain valuable experience within education while making a positive impact on pupils' learning and development.
The Role
Support teaching and learning within the classroom Provide 1:1 support and assist with small‑group activities Help pupils remain engaged, focused, and motivated during lessons Assist with classroom activities, resources, and lesson preparation Encourage positive behaviour and learning routines Build positive relationships with pupils and staff Support pupils' confidence, participation, and progress Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment Follow safeguarding and school policies consistentlyIdeal Candidate:
Experience working with children or young people Patient, supportive, and approachable manner Strong communication and interpersonal skills Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff Adaptable and responsive to varying needs Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team Backgrounds in childcare, coaching, youth work, or education welcomed Graduates seeking school‑based experience encouraged to applyContract Details:
