About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Primary Teaching Assistant or HLTA to support mainstream and SEN primary provisions across London . Working at this rate, you will hold key responsibilities including class cover, small-group intervention, or 1:1 specialist SEN support.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver pre-planned lessons during teacher PPA time across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2). Lead targeted small-group intervention sessions focusing on SATs prep, literacy, and numeracy. Provide 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs. Assist class teachers with classroom management, pupil progress tracking, and safeguard compliance.Requirements
Qualification: Level 3 or Level 4 NVQ/CACHE in Supporting Teaching & Learning, HLTA Status, or a relevant Primary Education degree. Experience: Proven experience working within a UK primary school setting using the National Primary Curriculum. Specialist Knowledge: Familiarity with primary phonics frameworks (e.g., Read Write Inc. or Little Wandle) and SEN support techniques. Compliance: An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to process a new one) and clear right-to-work documentation in the UK.What We Offer
