Job Description
Zest Education is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Burton upon Trent. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and progress
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive classroom environment
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources
- Support pupils with a range of abilities and educational needs
- Help develop pupils' confidence, independence, and social skills
- Contribute to creating a safe and stimulating learning environment
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, coaching, youth work, or similar setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, patient, and caring approach
- The ability to build effective relationships with pupils and staff
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Preferred Requirements
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or a relevant Level 3 childcare or education qualification
- Previous experience working within a primary school environment
