Teaching Assistant

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons

• Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and progress

• Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive classroom environment

• Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources

• Support pupils with a range of abilities and educational needs

• Help develop pupils' confidence, independence, and social skills

• Contribute to creating a safe and stimulating learning environment

Essential Requirements

• Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, coaching, youth work, or similar setting

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• A positive, patient, and caring approach

• The ability to build effective relationships with pupils and staff

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

Preferred Requirements

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or a relevant Level 3 childcare or education qualification

• Previous experience working within a primary school environment

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
