Location: M8, Manchester Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time, Long-term Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am - 3:30pm (30-minute lunch break) Pay: £14.25 to £16.65 per hour PAYE/Umbrella
About the Role - Teaching Assistant
Reeson Education are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the M8 area of Manchester.
This Teaching Assistant role will be based within a reception class, supporting young children with their learning, development and day-to-day classroom routines. The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who is caring, patient and proactive, with a genuine interest in working with children within the Early Years environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with younger children and wants to become part of a positive school team on a long-term basis.
The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team, helping to create a safe, engaging and nurturing environment where children feel confident to learn, explore and develop.
Key Responsibilities - Teaching Assistant
Work as a Teaching Assistant within a Reception classroom Support children with their learning and development throughout the school day Provide individual and small-group support where required Assist with phonics, early reading, early maths and practical learning activities Encourage children's confidence, independence and communication skills Support pupils during classroom routines, play-based activities and transitions Help maintain a positive, calm and inclusive learning environment Work closely with the class teacher to support the needs of individual pupils Build positive and professional relationships with children and staff as a Teaching Assistant Promote good behaviour through a calm, consistent and positive approach Support children with their social and emotional development Follow school safeguarding procedures and always promote children's welfareRequirements - Teaching Assistant
A recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery or education setting Experience supporting children within EYFS or Reception would be highly advantageous A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to working with young children Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to support children with different learning and developmental needs A proactive attitude and willingness to get involved in all aspects of classroom life Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare Someone who is reliable, approachable and keen to make a positive difference as a Teaching AssistantWhy Apply for This Teaching Assistant Role?
